Variable, clambering perennial to 120cm, hairy or hairless, with winged stems. Leaves with tendril; leaflets 1 pair, linear-lanceolate to elliptical. Flowers yellow 10-16mm, in long stalked racemes. Pods black, sometimes hairy.\nHabitats: Rough grassy places, meadows, pastures, hedgerows, scrub and woodland margins, roadsides, sometimes close to the sea, on calcareous to slightly acid soils, to 2150m.\nFlowering Season: May-August.\nDistribution: Throughout Europe, except Spitsbergen.\n\nThis Species is quite common in the described Habitats in the Netherlands.
