Rome, Italy: church of Santa Maria di Loreto, church built by the the bakers of the  Pio Sodalizio dei Fornai guild; located in the Trevi district, near the Trajan Column and the church of the Santissimo Nome di Maria al Foro Traiano. Architecture by Antonio da Sangallo the Younger, in the early phase of his activity. The architecture is characterized by travertine pilasters that stand out on the brick walls. The design consists of simple overlapping volumes: the main building with a square plan which is articulated with the niches and pilasters of the lower order, surmounted by the octagonal volume of the drum marked by the upper order.
