s/y BALTIC BEAUTY – brigantine, built in 1926 in the Dutch shipyard N.V. Capello in Zwartsluis as a commercial vessel for the transport of live eels called HANS 2. In 1936, HANS 2 was sold to Sweden, where it was given the new name SVEN WILHELM. In 1977, due to its advanced age, the unit was withdrawn from service. The ship is saved from being cut into scrap by Captain Victor Gottlow, who after purchasing it begins rebuilding it into a schooner. On this occasion, the name of the unit is also changed to DOMINIQUE FREDION (Captain Gottlow's wife). A few years later, after receiving permission to organize charter cruises, there is another (so far the last) name change, this time to BALTIC BEAUTY. In 2004, the sailing ship was transformed into a brigantine. Since 2018, the shipowner's house POLSail from Gdańsk has been managing the vessel on behalf of the now elderly Captain Gottlow. On July 6, 2019, during the 23rd Balic Sail Rally in Gdańsk, the Polish flag was raised on the sailing ship, while its home port was changed from Swedish Ronneby to Gdańsk.
