Viburnum dilatatum, commonly called linden viburnum because its leaves resemble those of the linden tree, is native to East Asia, including Japan. White flowers in showy, domed clusters appear in late spring (April to early June). Flowers give way to bright red fruits that mature to black in fall and winter. Berries are attractive to birds.

Pyracantha is a genus of thorny evergreen large shrubs in the family Rosaceae, with common names Firethorn or Pyracantha. They are native to an area extending from Southeast Europe east to Southeast Asia, resemble and are related to Cotoneaster, but have serrated leaf margins and numerous thorns (Cotoneaster is thornless).\nPyracanthas are valuable ornamental plants, grown in gardens for their decorative flowers and fruit, often very densely borne. Their dense thorny structure makes them particularly valued in situations where an impenetrable barrier is required. Pyracantha berries are not poisonous as commonly thought; although they are very bitter, they are edible when cooked and are sometimes made into jelly.[2] In the UK and Ireland Pyracantha and the related genus Cotoneaster are valuable sources of nectar when often the bees have little other forage during the June Gap.\nThe plants reach up to six metres tall. The seven species have white flowers and either red, orange, or yellow berries. The flowers are produced during late spring and early summer; the pomes develop from late summer, and mature in late autumn (source Wikipedia).

Hydrangea flower
Pieris japonica, also called Japanese andromeda and Japanese pieris, is a broadleaf evergreen shrub, featuring drooping clusters of lily-of-the-valley-like flowers in early spring. Many cultivars are available, featuring flowers in various shades of white, pink and deep rose. The plant is poisonous if consumed by people or animals.

Deciduous tree or shrub to 17m; bark foetid, brown, peeling. Leaves elliptical, pointed and toothed, dull green above, paler and hairless beneath. Flowers white, 10-16mm, in long slender, pendent racemes, heavy scented. Fruit small, shiny black, 6-8mm, bitter and astringent. \nHabitat: Woodland, hedgerows, scrub and on moors.\nFlowering Season: May-June.\nDistribution: Throughout Europe, except the Faeroes, Iceland and the extreme north.\n\nIn the Netherland the Species is quite common in Woodland.
