Moçamedes, Namibe Province, Angola: Namibe Provincial Government Palace (Moçamedes Palace) - The construction occurred under the orders of Fernando da Costa Leal (1854-1959), the fifth Governor of Moçâmedes. Construction began in 1858, and upon its completion in 1889, it was hailed as the finest regional palace in the entire Portuguese overseas territory. The Palace, characterized by sober and imposing classical architecture, features a façade divided into three sections. The central section is crowned by a triangular pediment, once adorned with the Portuguese symbols, rounded arched openings, and a dominating parapet.
