Plaque attached to the base of a bronze statute which was erected in memory of Thomas Sutcliffe Mort in 1883 at Macquarie Place, Sydney.  He was a significant figure in the development of wool industry and exporting agricultural products to the United Kingdom.  This image was taken on a sunny afternoon in summer.

Pictured here is an old, 1944 issued wooden crate, used for transporting the M1 Anti Tank Mine. It is stowed on the rear bench seat of a Willys Jeep, with camouflage netting strapped to the exterior of the vehicle. In critical moments, thanks to their utility, Jeeps could be used to ferry ammunition, and munitions such as land mines and mortar rounds, from ammo dumps placed far behind the front lines up to the front line troops.\n\nThis image was taken at a Living History and Military Vehicle experience over the week of 5th - 9th June 2023 at RAF Cosford, Wolverhampton, England. \n\nAn event where reenactors, living historians, and members of the public can come to experience what life was like during the second world war, with live demonstrations, battle reenactments, and static displays from all over the world.
