(Ochotona princeps) The Pika is a distant relative of the rabbit, except it has small, rounded ears and no tail.  They can be found from 1000 - 10.000 feet in elevation in the Pacific Northwest.  They are herbivores.  They do not hibernate.  They created haystacks of vegetation under the scree and boulders of where they live to supplement their winter food supply.
