This image shows a vintage propeller plane being flown by one of the Tuskegee Airmen.  The Tuskegee Airmen were the first African-American military aviators in the United States armed forces.

The image shows a rear, right quarter view of a superbly restored North American P-51D Mustang.  The aircraft was parked on the ramp at McMinnville, OR.   It was morning on a partly sunny day and the lighting was perfect.  The bright red tail color immediately gets the viewers attention while the angle of the photo easily draws their gaze from lower left to upper fight towards the powerful Merlin engine with its four-bladed propeller.   The P-51 is a true warbird and an iconic WWII fighter.
