The Horsehead Nebula from my backyard, also known as Barnard 33 is a small dark nebula in the constellation Orion.[

Just 1500 lightyears from Earth and a breath of 5 light years. Imaged captured with SeeStar S50 and processed with PixinSight.

NGC 2244, known as Caldwell 50, is an open cluster in the Rosette Nebula. Image was shot using a remote telescope service.

This is an astronomic image, taken with a special ccd camera attached to my 8AA telescope. Exposure time was about 12 hours. 5 channels were recorded: Red, Green, Blue, Luminance, HA and combined in a special software for astrophotographers. So there is no RAW File, ISO setting or anything else you find on a DSLR. There are very dimm stars in the background, please note, that this not noise but reality.

The Gecko Nebula, LBN 437, is a molecular cloud in the constellation Lacerta and is paired with the large emission nebula Sh2-126 that runs through this frame. The left lobe of the Gecko contains many bright stars that were newly formed from the cloud. In this region, the young star V375 is associated with the X-shaped Herbig-Haro object HH398. These objects are bright regions of nebulosity associated with newborn stars, and are formed when gas ejected by the star collides with nearby clouds of gas and dust.

The California Nebula (NGC 1499) is an emission nebula located in the constellation Perseus. It is so named because it appears to resemble the outline of the US State of California on long exposure photographs.

$Comet C/ 2017 K 2 Pan STARRS passing by the Blue Horsehead Nebula in the constellation Scorpius. \nAn upside down horse head encounters a visitor from far far away as seen from earth. \nThe comet was relatively close at the time-17 light minutes from us- about twice as far as the sun roughly speaking - while the Blue Horsehead nebula is 400 light YEARS distant.\n\n Comet C/2017 K2 (PanSTARRS) had been traveling from the Oort cloud for some 3 million years in a hyperbolic orbit around our sun.\n\nIts nucleus is about 18 km or so in diameter; its cometary atmosphere (“coma”) is about 130,000 km in diameter, and its tail – clearly visible in this image -is estimated at 800, 000 km !\nThe Blue Horsehead – upside down* in this image because this was imaged from the Southern Hemisphere, from a dark site near Sydney last Sunday is a “reflection nebula”; so called because these nebulas are actually made up of very fine dust that normally appears dark but can look quite blue when reflecting the light of energetic nearby stars. In this case, the source of much of the reflected light is a star at the “eye” of the horse.$

While this was my first time using Telescope's Canada-based telescope for deep-space photography, I still had a good experience.
