The salmon lifecycle begins with an egg.  As the salmon move on to the Fry and Parr stage they will develop stripe patterns. These small salmon are very vulnerable. They still have a lot of growing to do before they reach maturity.

The Chinook salmon is the largest and most valuable species of Pacific salmon in North America. Other vernacular names for the species include king salmon, Quinnat salmon, Tsumen, spring salmon, chrome hog, Blackmouth, and Tyee salmon. This one was caught off the coast of Alaska near the town of Sitka.

August 27, 2021, Valdez, Alaska. Salmon, in the thousands, have made their way to their spawning grounds. These fish fought to the very last breath of their life to do what they were intended to do.  It is quite a sight to see thousand of fish fighting, even to their demise, I to get to the place of their birth.
