The plant can reach a height of about 2 meters, tends to be twiggy and spreading into a fountain-like form, and displays frothy clusters of white flowers along the terminal of arching branches. The small tree or shrub, that is native to Eastern North America, is covered with abundant clusters of flowers, lasting for several weeks in late spring and early summer.
