Finale Ligure, Italy – January 03, 2023: The historic triumphal arch in Finale Ligure, Liguria region, Italy
A wide angle view of the stunning Arch of Constantine in the imperial heart of the Eternal City. The largest triumphal arch in the ancient world celebrates the victory of Emperor Constantine over the usurper Maxentius in the battle of Ponte Milvio (Milvian Bridge), which took place in 312 AD near Rome, along the Tiber river. With its 21 meters high, 25.9 meters wide and 7.9 meters deep, the Arch of Constantine is a compendium of Roman sculpture and history, with depictions and bas-reliefs concerning the gestures of the emperors Hadrian, Trajan and Marcus Aurelius. Built in masonry and marble in the core of the Roman Forum, between the imperial hill of the Palatine and the Celian hill, this sumptuous Roman monument is placed diagonally to the Flavian Amphitheater or Colosseum (right in the photo). The Roman Forums, one of the largest archaeological areas in the world, represented the political, legal, religious and economic center of the Ancient Rome, as well as the nerve center of the entire Roman civilization. In 1980 the historic center of Rome was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Super wide angle and high definition image in 16:9 format.

Rome, Italy, November 13 -- A particular view of the Fountain of Ponte Sisto in the ancient district of Trastevere, in the historic center of the Eternal City. Located in front of the famous Ponte Sisto (Sixtus Bridge), in Piazza Trilussa, this fountain was built in 1613 by the architect Giovanni Vasanzio using the water of the ancient Roman aqueduct of the emperor Trajan, modernized during the pontificate of Pope Paul V. Trastevere is an iconic district of Rome for the presence of artistic and historical treasures, for the archaeological remains of Ancient Rome and for the numerous Romanesque and Baroque churches. Among beautiful squares and suggestive alleys to be explored freely, you can find typical restaurants, pubs, small artisan shops and scenes of everyday life and the original Roman soul. In 1980 the historic center of Rome was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Super wide angle and high definition image.

For the uninitiated, Piazza del Campidoglio is a square open to the public and to access it, payment of the ticket is not required despite the fact that inside it there are a number of artifacts of inestimable artistic value.\n\nThe Palazzo Senatorio is located in Piazza del Campidoglio on the homonymous hill in Rome, and is flanked by the Palazzo dei Conservatori and the Palazzo Nuovo. Today it is the administrative headquarters of the special municipality of Rome. It is the oldest existing town hall in the world.\n\nThe Capitoline Hill contains few ancient ground-level ruins, as they are almost entirely covered up by Medieval and Renaissance palaces that surround a piazza, a significant urban plan designed by Michelangelo.
