Los Angeles, California, USA - September 21, 2012: Space Shuttle Endeavor makes its final landing at noon at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), marking an end to the space vehicle's aviation career. The shuttle is carried by a custom 747 designed by NASA to transport the shuttle from airport to airport.
US Space Shuttle  Endeavour  flies on top of a NASA special 747 transporter, as it flies over The University of Arizona as a tribute to former Astronaut  Mark Kelly and his wife Congresswomen Gabrielle Giffords who was a victim of a mass shooting in Tucson.     Space Shuttle Endeavour was retired from NASA's Space Shuttle program, and sent to Samuel Oschin Pavilion at the California Science Center, located in Exposition Park in South Los Angeles . It embarked on its first mission, STS-49, in May 1992 and its 25th and final mission, STS-134, in May 2011.
