They have changed the benches, but growing up there used to be a picnic bench. I hadn't visited this place in years but, when I was in middle school, me, my brother and my cousin used to come here with our grandmother. We would roll small balls of dough and we would feed them to the small fish that live in the water. Honestly, I was experimenting with a new film roll which gave this such a warm hue, perfectly showing the memories I have at this river.

This small wilderness island is located on Sigulat Lake in Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, British Columbia, and is only accessible by seaplane. We removed our Lake flying boat’s rear seat so that the deflated Tinker Tramp dinghy along with its sailing gear, oars and 2hp motor could be fitted in. The original Tinker was designed in Somerset, England, by Fred Benyon-Tinker. The Tinker class of sailing dinghies was initially developed by Henshaw Inflatables Ltd. The company no longer manufactures Tinker but there is an active used market currently maintained by the Tinker Class Owners Association.

Toquaht Lake is 13.9 miles from Ucluelet in Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District. The rustic cedar cabin was built on Crown land and is no longer standing since logging operations in the 1980's. The Toquaht are the people of Toquaht Bay, Mayne Bay and western Barkley Sound, and are one of the Nuu-chah-nulth Nations who have lived along Vancouver Island’s west coast for over 10,000 years. \$
