Rome, Italy, December 14 -- A suggestive and peaceful autumnal view of the hippodrome of Piazza di Siena, in the green heart of Villa Borgese. In this space, built by the Borghese family in honor of the Tuscan city of Siena at the end of the 18th century, the International Horse Competition of Rome has been held since 1926. Considered the green lung of Rome, Villa Borghese is the largest public park in the city with almost 80 hectares of extension, where residents and tourists can spend hours of relaxation and silence among tree-lined avenues, ponds and Italian and English-style gardens surrounded by trees and ancient pines. The area of the Villa Borghese includes the extension of ancient gardens the of the Borghese family since 1580, while the current arrangement of the park was completed in 1903 in neoclassical style. In 1980 the historic center of Rome was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Super wide angle image in high definition and 16:9 format.
