This historic church in La Mesilla, New Mexico is called Basilica of San Albino. The structure was built in 1906 and is now part of the Las Cruces, New Mexico Roman Catholic Diocese.  The building was constructed in Romanesque, French style architecture due to early European influences.

The Basilica of San Albino, one of the oldest churches in the region, has the distinction of being originally established in Mexico and is now located in the United States as a result of the transfer of territory in the 1854 Gadsden Purchase.  It was originally built in 1852 and rebuilt in 1906.  The Basilica of San Albino is located in the town of Mesilla, south of Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA.

The San Francisco de Assisi (Saint Francis of Assisi) Catholic Mission Church in Ranchos De Taos, New Mexico is a Spanish colonial church completed in 1816. Built of adobe, white crosses showing prominently in the morning sunshine. Image was taken the Monday after Easter, so the large cross in the courtyard is draped in white cloth.
