Location : Banda Aceh - Indonesia\n\nGunongan, which literally means artificial mountain, is a building 9.5 meters high. This building, which is in the form of a miniature hill, was built in the 17th century, namely the reign of Sultan Iskandar Muda. With its octagonal shape, Gunongan at first glance looks like a flower with three layers. On one side there is an entrance that leads to the third layer, which is a stone pillar with a pearl crown in the middle.\n\nThis building is one of the landmarks of the Aceh Sultanate remaining from the destruction of the Dutch colonial army. Until now, its existence is still intact. Not far from Gunongan, there is Peterana Batu Berukir. A cylindrical piece of stone with a diameter of 1 meter, a height of 0.5 meters and a hole in the middle. This peterana is usually used by the empress to wash her hair with flower water.\n\nNear Gunongan, the Krueng Daroy river flows. This artificial river flows water from Mata Ie to the Krueng Aceh river. Until now, the beauty of the Krueng Daroy stream can still be enjoyed passing along the side of Meuligoe, Governor of Aceh.\n\nThe water flow of the Krueng Daroy river was deliberately created to pass through the Sultan's Palace Complex. After playing, the princess usually bathes in water from the Krueng Daroy river. Together with the ladies-in-waiting, the princess rested at Pinto Khop, the connecting gate between Putroe Phang Park and the Sultan's Palace.
