The chakras of a yogi sitting in the lotus position in a Star. In spiritualism, the flat triangle symbol means mastering the sevenfold ground knowledge and is associated with rooting. The inverted triangle means seven layers of celestial knowledge. The union of these two triangles brings enlightenment. / You can see the animation movie of this image from my iStock video portfolio. Om is the prime symbol of Hinduism. It is variously said to be the essence of the supreme Absolute, consciousness, Ātman, Brahman, or the cosmic world.
A wall painting, representing a mandala, at the Changangkha Temple in Thimphu Bhutan. Mandalas, concentric diagrams, have spiritual and ritual significance in both Buddhism and Hinduism. Religious Paintings and statues are in the public domain. Bhutanese art is anonymous, religious and as a result it has no aesthetic function by itself. A Bhutanese does not view a painting or a statue as a work of art but as a religious work. Paintings are not signed, paintings have no copyright. This is all well explained in Françoise Pommaret’s “Bhutan, Himalayan Mountain Kingdom” edited by Odyssey Books & guides.
In many Eastern spiritual traditions, including Hinduism and Buddhism, it is believed that there are seven energy centers in the body called chakras. Each chakra is associated with specific physical, emotional, and spiritual qualities. Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan. It involves the practitioner channeling universal life force energy (often called \

UNESCO World Heritage Site Swayambhunath Monkey Temple of Buddhists and Hindus in Kathmandu, Nepal
Kathmandu, Nepal: Swayambhu Mahachaitya (meaning 'self-sprung'), a Buddhist temple complex on a hill in western Kathmandu - along with Borobudur in Java, Swayambhunath is considered one of the oldest Buddhist temple complexes in the world. The age of the internal buildings is estimated to be around 2,500 years. It is the most sacred pilgrimage site for Buddhist Newars and the second most sacred site for Tibetan Buddhists. The dominant element of the temple complex is the Buddhist stupa with the painted eyes. The Eyes of Buddha are painted on all four sides of the harmika (cube at the top of the stupa) to symbolize the Buddha's wisdom seeing all things in all four cardinal directions. The nose symbol stands for Nirvana, the small circle is the 'third eye' of Buddha, symbol of spiritual awakening of knowledge and wisdom. The thirteen steps above the harmika symbolize the thirteen states of Bodhisattva's ground for the enlightenment or “Bodhi”.
