From 1881 Garfield Beach was the most famous and finest recreation resort on the shores of the Great Salt Lake. \nIt had bath houses and a pier leading to the dance pavilion, and with the pioneer steamboat “City of Corinne” docked.
The Delta Barrage dam was built between 1833 and 1862 to improve irrigation and navigation along the Nile River. \nThis Nile Barrage of Qanater is surrounded by gardens and is popular with picnickers. It' is a pleasant destination for day trips from Cairo. The journey by river bus taking approximately two hours.\nPlease note that the image was scanned from an over thirty years old negative.

India- january 17 2019: The Prayag Kumbh Mela, also known as Allahabad Kumbh Mela is a mela, or religious gathering, associated with Hinduism and held in the city of Prayagraj, India, at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges, the Yamuna, and the mythical Sarasvati river.[1] The festival is marked by a ritual dip in the waters, but it is also a celebration of community commerce with numerous fairs, education, religious discourses by saints, mass feedings of monks or the poor, and entertainment spectacle.[2][3] Approximately 50 and 30 million people attended the Allahabad Ardh Kumbh Mela in 2019 and Maha Kumbh Mela in 2013 respectively to bathe in the holy river Ganges, making them the largest peaceful gathering events in the world.[4][5]
