This is part of the funicular system, created by the British, which is similar to an elevator, only horizontally: a steel cable pulls a wagon with tons of material along the rails going down or up a mountain 800 meters high in the Atlantic Forest region in the state of São Paulo - Brazil. In Paranapiacaba, the funicular went into operation in 1867 and was deactivated in 1981 because it had become obsolete.
