White wood aster Eurybia divaricata (Aster divaricatus) flowers, herbaceous perennial plant in the family: Asteraceae, native range: Eastern North America.
Liatris spicata, commonly called Blazing star, Dense blazing star or Gay feather, is a tall, upright, clump-forming perennial. It features terminal spikes of rounded, fluffy, deep purple or white flower heads appearing atop rigid, erect, leafy flower stalks. It has the habit of opening its fluffy flowers from the top of the spike down.
