Windsor, England - September 29, 2018: Theatre Royal Windsor was opened in 1910, and is an outstanding example of a small Edwardian theatre. It is the second Theatre Royal to have stood on this site in Thames Street since 1815, located at the bottom of the hill leading to Windsor Castle. For over 50 years (between 1933 and 1986, with interruptions) it was run by the theatre manager John Counsell and his actress wife Mary Kerridge, and is now under Bill Kenwright's management. It is an unsubsidised producing theatre, and many of its shows go on to London and/or on tour.
