Large dam spillway in full flow after heavy rain
Burdekin Dam (Lake Dalrymple) is located on the Burdekin River in Queensland, Australia. The dam provides drinking water for twin cities of Thuringowa and Townsville, as well as a large irrigation scheme. The dam wall is 876 metres long, has a 504 metre spillway and a drop of 37 metres.
