The African grey parrot (Psittacus erithacus) is an Old World parrot in the family Psittacidae. There are two known sub-species of the African grey parrot. The African grey parrot is a medium-sized, predominantly grey, black-billed parrot which weighs 400 g, with a length of 33 cm and an average wingspan of 46–52 cm. The Congo subspecies is a lighter grey, darker grey over the head and both wings, while the head and body feathers have a slight white edge to them. The tail feathers are red.

A Grass Green Tanager can be seen perching and eating in this photo.  The grass-green tanager is a small tropical bird that measures 20 cm in length and weighs 53g. It lives in and around subtropical and temperate forests in the Andes of Peru at elevations of 1500–3350 m.  The face is red and almost looks like a mask.

Adults have a reddish brown crown, ear coverts, and throat, a pinkish red patch behind the eye, and white nares and eye ring. Their nape and breast are dull olive-yellow and their flanks red. Most of the rest of their body is green, with blue on the wing edge, blackish blue on the flight feathers, and blue on the tips of the tail feathers. The brown-hooded parrot forages in the canopy and forest edge. Its diet is mostly fruits and seeds from trees and epiphytes; figs (Ficus) appear to be favored.
