Kawayu Onsen is a geological thermal wonder.  ''Kawa'' means ''river'' and ''yu'' means ''hot water''.  As it literally says, in Kawayu Onsen, onsen (hot spring water) bubbles to the surface of the river.  People enjoy both digging their own bath or bathing in a prepared one.
