Bicolor Angelfish Centropyge bicolor occurs in the tropical Indo-Pacific from East Africa to the Samoan and Phoenix Islands, north to southern Japan, south to New Caledonia and throughout Micronesia in a depth range from 1 to 25m, max. total length 15cm. \nThe species inhabits protected seaward reef slopes, drop offs, coral and rubble areas. They are usually in pairs or in small groups, feeding on algae, small crustaceans and worms. \nBicolor Angelfish is a protogynous hermaphrodite, with individuals initially all female and capable of changing sex to become males. Throughout the year, males maintain a harem of up to seven adult and immature females. Pelagic spawning occurs from November to March. The females live in a social hierarchy. If the male disappears, the top ranking female will change sex to become a male and assume leadership of the harem.\nIt is not easy to photograph this species properly, as it has a long flight distance and darts from one hiding place to the next. \nLembeh Strait, North Sulawesi, Indonesia \n1 1°29'43.194 N 125°15'44.364 E at 14m depth

The Red Sea is a rich and diverse ecosystem. More than 1200 species of fish have been recorded in the Red Sea, and around 10% of these are found nowhere else. This also includes 42 species of deepwater fish. The rich diversity is in part due to the 2,000 km (1,240 mi) of coral reef extending along its coastline; these fringing reefs are 5000–7000 years old and are largely formed of stony acropora and porites corals. The reefs form platforms and sometimes lagoons along the coast and occasional other features such as cylinders (such as the Blue Hole (Red Sea) at Dahab). These coastal reefs are also visited by pelagic species of Red Sea fish, including some of the 44 species of shark.

Adults of Napoleon Wrasse Cheilinus undulatus develop thick lips and a prominent bulbous hump on the forehead and can grow up to more than 2.2 meters. The species inhabits steep outer reef slopes, channel slopes and lagoon reefs. Primary food are mollusks, fishes, sea urchins, crustaceans and other invertebrates. Napoleon Wrasse is one of the few predators of toxic animals such as sea hares, boxfishes and crown-of-thorns starfish. Napoleon Wrasse is is seriously endangered, being hunted to the brink of extinction to feed a growing demand among wealthy Chinese diners for luxury live fish. Not wise, so crown-of-thorns starfishes take over and destroy the reefs. Palau, Micronesia, 7°8'0.39 N 134°13'12.99 E at 15m depth
