The toco toucan (Ramphastos toco) is a species of bird in the toucan family Ramphastidae. It is the largest species of toucan and has a distinctive appearance, with a black body, a white throat, chest and uppertail-coverts, and red undertail-coverts. Its most conspicuous feature is its massive beak, which is yellow-orange with a black base and large spot on the tip. It is endemic to South America, where it has a wide distribution from the Guianas south to northern Argentina and Uruguay.

The Green-billed Tucano (Ramphastos dicolorus) is a species of Tucano native to Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina and Paraguay. Such birds measure about 48 inches long, possessing, as the popular name implies, green beak, yellow throat and breast and red belly. They can also be known by the name of Tucano-de-Red-breasted. The Green-billed Tucano is found in the south and southeast regions of Brazil, as well as in the south of the state of Goiás (although it is very rare in this region). It is quite common in saw regions, where it is spotted in small flocks. They are persecuted by the hunters for their flesh. It lives in wooed areas, from the coastline to the mountainous areas, including the plateau forests. It feeds on fruits, arthropods and small vertebrates, and often feeds on puppies and eggs in nests of other birds. Boot from 2 to 5 eggs, incubated for 19 days.
