Neurothemis is a genus of dragonflies in the family Libellulidae. Their distribution is in India, Asia, Australia and the Pacific region. Most Neurothemis species are red.

Unlike other Lestes, does not favors ephemeral conditions (e.g. shallows, drying-out pans).\nFlight Season:\nThe latest Lestes; in central Europe seldom emerges before mid-July, but already in early May in Iberia. Abundant in august and September, persisting into November.\n\nThis is probably the most Common Lestes in the Netherlands.$
