However, it became dilapidated in time and when the New Post Office was built, it was rebuilt by Architect Vedat Bey in a square plan with a cut corner. The mosque has a single dome and is decorated with tiles. It has nothing to do with its old structure. The mosque, which has an interior area of 150 m², has a minaret with a single balcony.

The Archaeological Site of Perge was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List in 2009.
