Linguistically Ngas belongs to the Afro asiantic class called the Chadic group of languages. The Ngas people are hardworkng, industrious, selfless, trusted, reliable, and dependable people, and have at one point or other made their mark in different fields of human endeavors.

He is a very feared justice god who punishes thieves, liars, criminals and witches. It is said that when someone commits a crime and there is not enough evidence to judge them, they are given the opportunity to tell what happened. If he tells the truth, the punishment corresponding to the crime is applied, but if he denies his crime, he is set free and it is the god Shango who will take matters into his own hands: if he has lied and is guilty, he will send a lightning bolt to kill him. . In fact, in the temple of the god Shango, human skulls belonging to criminals who have been punished by Shango's lightning are preserved.
