you see a very rare wildflower, an orchid named Rotes Waldvögelein (cephalanthera rubra), that is an endangered species in Germany , I shot it in a forest. Therefore the background is nearly black. It is forbitten to remove the flower or parts of it. Therefore there is no legal studio-shot.

$Short to medium hairless; stem angled with 2-3 brown basal sheaths. Leaves 4-10, oblong to lanceolate, somewhat bluish-green. Flowers white or cream. All but the highest flowers much exceeded by the subtending bracts; sepals and petals blunt, the latter slightly shorter; lip 14-17mm, white, with 3-5 orange-yellow ridges above. Ovary hairless. \nHabitat: Beechwoods and other shady places, generally on calcareous soils, to 1300m.\nFlowering season: May-July.\nDistribution: W. and Central Europe. North to S. Sweden.\n\nThis Picture is made during a long weekend in the Eifel (Germany) in June 2019.$
