This view of the Mt Rushmore National Memorial is very moving seen upclose or from a distance. With the heads of some of our historic national leaders, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln carved out of the mountain under the direction of Gutzon and Berglum this 60 foot high monument is a marvel and an American treasure.

Mount Rushmore located in South Dakota is a treasure of America and well know the world over with visitors daily from not just the United States but many international travelers. This monument represents Democracy and America and on this June day with many visitors it was a wonderful opportunity to visit this monument near Rapid City South Dakota.
