This is the main mushroom of late autumn. It grows in coniferous, most often pine, forests. An edible mushroom. The cap is 4-10 (12) cm in diameter, fleshy, with a wavy edge, convex in young mushrooms, with a flat tubercle in the center. The color of the cap is pale grayish or dark gray. The aroma is pleasant, similar to the smell of fresh flour.
