Carnivorous plant pitcher, commonly called trumpet pitcher in Latin known as sarracenia flava growing in a botanical garden. Its leaves have pitcher or funnel shape which allows chatching of insects.
Nepenthes rajah (pictured in a tropical hot and humid rain forest) is a carnivorous pitcher plant species of the Nepenthaceae family. The plant is endemic to the mountains of Sabah in the Malaysian Borneo. Insects, and particularly ants, comprise its prey. Nepenthes monkey cups tropical pitcher plant family thrives in tropical hot and humid rain forest. The main stronghold of Nepenthes or monkey cups (as they are commonly known) is South East Asia, particularly the Islands of Borneo, Sumatra and the Philippines.
