Prairie Dogs are generally characterized by small ears, large round eyes, strong teeth, and a pair of front legs with sharp and strong nails.  It is responsible for digging up the soil for food and digging burrows for living.  It goes out in the daytime for food which eats both plants and animals such as grasses, vegetables, seeds, and insects and worms.\n\n has a golden brown hair color  The tip of the tail is black.  The tail is 3-4 inches long, the feet are cream colored, the body is round and fat, when fully grown, weighs about 1-2 kg.\n\n Prairie Dogs are rodents in the same family as squirrels.  But it does not live and make a living on trees like other squirrels.  But they will find food and nest by digging burrows in the ground, plains and open ground.

The golden-mantled ground squirrel (Callospermophilus lateralis) is a type of ground squirrel found in mountainous areas of western North America including Yellowstone N.P.
Muránska planina National Park.\nThe European ground squirrel is about the size of a brown rat, with an adult measuring 20 to 23 cm (8 to 9 in) and a weight of 240 to 340 g. It has a slender build with a short bushy tail. The short dense fur is yellowish-grey, tinged with red, with a few indistinct pale and dark spots on the back. The underside is pale with a sandy-coloured abdomen. The large dark eyes are placed high on the head and the small, rounded ears are hidden in the fur.  The legs are powerful with sharp claws well adapted for digging. Males are slightly larger than females otherwise they look alike.
