Rukn-e-Alam (pillar of the world) or Shah Rukn-e-Alam (King Rukn-e-Alam) (1251-1335) was an eminent Sufi saint from Multan, Pakistan who belonged to Suhrawardiyya Sufi order (tariqa).
Built in 1671, Badshahi Mosque is the crown jewel of Lahore, a symbol of the Mughal Empire (1526-1857), and one of the most beautiful places in Pakistan. Its architecture is characterized by carved red sandstones, which was typical of the Mughal era.\n\nThe vast courtyard of the mosque can hold up to 100,000 worshippers, making it the second largest mosque in Pakistan! I recommend spending at least a couple of hours here to admire all the marvelous details of the architecture.

Uch or Uch Sharif (Greek: Alexandria En Indo Potamo) is 73 kilometres (45 mi) from Bahawalpur in Bahawalpur District, South Punjab, Pakistan. Uch is an important historical city, having been founded by Alexander the Great. Formerly located at the confluence of the Indus and Chenab rivers, it is now 100 kilometres (62 mi) from that confluence, which has moved to Mithankot. It was an important centre in medieval India, as an early stronghold of the Delhi Sultanate in the 13th century during the Muslim conquest. Uch Sharif contains the tombs of Bibi Jawindi, Baha'al-Halim and Jalaluddin Bukhari, which are considered masterpieces of Islamic architecture and are on the UNESCO World Heritage Site tentative list.

Constructed in 1607 under the rule of Masoom Shah, during Akbar's reign, the Masoom Shah Minaro stands tall at approximately 31 meters. This red brick edifice, with an internal stone staircase, likely functioned as a watchtower. Adjacent lies a cemetery where Mir Masoom Shah and his kin rest, encompassing a rich historical narrative.
The Tomb of Jahangir is one of the most remarkable historical places in Lahore. Completed in 1637, it’s a mausoleum built for Jahangir, one of the most accomplished emperors of the Mughal Empire who ruled between 1605 and 1627.\n\nThe architecture of this place showcases some beautifully intricate pietra dura, which are pictorial mosaics made with semi-precious stones. This tomb took 10 years to build and is the only remaining Mughal tomb in Pakistan!
