$The guará is a pelecaniform bird in the Threskiornithidae family.\n\nAlso known as scarlet ibis, red maned, red maned, piranga and red heron. It is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful Brazilian birds, because of the color of its plumage.\n\nSeveral localities on the Brazilian coast have names of indigenous origin associated with the presence of the guará in the past, such as Guaratuba (Paraná), Guaraqueçaba (Paraná), Guaratiba (Rio de Janeiro) and Guarapari (Espírito Santo). Probably also some others a little further away, where the species occurred occasionally, following the course of the rivers that flow into the Atlantic, such as Guaramirim (Santa Catarina) and Guarapiranga (São Paulo). He is currently recovering in several of these locations.$

The scarlet ibis (Eudocimus Ruber) is a species of ibis in the bird family Threskiornithidae. It inhabits tropical South America and islands of the Caribbean. In form it resembles most of the other twenty-seven extant species of ibis, but its remarkably brilliant scarlet coloration makes it unmistakable. It is one of the two national birds of Trinidad and Tobago.

The White-Faced Ibis (Plegadis chihi) is a medium-sized wading bird whose breeding range includes the western United States south through Mexico, southeastern Brazil and Bolivia south to central Argentina and the coast of Chile. The winter range extends from southern California and Louisiana south to include the rest of their breeding range. This species breeds in colonies around saltwater and freshwater marshes, usually nesting in bulrushes, cattails, bushes or low trees. The nest is built from reeds. Its breeding range extends from the western United States south through Mexico, as well as from southeastern Brazil and southeastern Bolivia south to central Argentina, and along the coast of central Chile. The white-faced ibis is an overall iridescent bronze-brown color. There is a thin band of white feathers around its face, thus giving it the name white-faced. The bill is long and downward curving. It has red eyes and long red legs and feet. The curved bill is used to probe for a variety of organisms, including invertebrates such as insects, snails, leeches, crayfish and earthworms. The diet may also include vertebrates such as newts, fish and frogs.
