Beauty Pool, located in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park, is a striking geothermal feature renowned for its vibrant hues and intricate formations. The pool, which measures about 16 feet in diameter, showcases a brilliant spectrum of colors ranging from deep turquoise in the center to vivid yellow and orange near the edges. These colors are a result of thermophilic microorganisms that thrive in the hot, mineral-rich waters.

Wave Spring is a small, thermal feature known for its gentle, wave-like motion of water. The spring's clear, shallow pool occasionally ripples, creating the illusion of waves, which is how it earned its name. Though not as active or dramatic as nearby geysers, Wave Spring is a serene and visually appealing feature.

The Morning Glory Pool is a natural wonder in Yellowstone National Park, named for its resemblance to the flower of the same name. On a steamy morning, the pool’s vivid colors of green and orange contrast with the white mist that rises from its surface. A sign near the pool displays its name and warns visitors not to throw anything into it, as this can damage its delicate ecosystem.
The Great Plains meet the Rocky Mountains in Wyoming. The state is a great plateau broken by a number of important mountain ranges. In the northwest are the Absaroka, the Owl Creek, Wyoming, Gros Ventre, Wind River and the Teton ranges. In the north central are the Big Horns; in the northeast, the Black Hills; and in the southern portion of Wyoming, the Laramie, Medicine Bow and Sierra Madre ranges.
Colombia, Laguna de Guatavita - This is the lake that the colonial Spanish and others tried to drain in search of gold that was said to have been thrown into the lake during various religious ceremonies of the Muisca people. In spite of cutting a wedge into one side of the surrounding mountains, they only managed to lower the level of the lake a little bit. They found a few artifacts on the lake shores. This is the origin of the original legend of El Dorado. The lake continues to be sacred to the Muiscas. The depth of the lake is 125 metres. Image shot from an altitide of 3,100 metres above mean sea level, on the Andes Mountains, on an overcast morning during steady and continous rain.
